Koch brothers, Tea partiers, and common sense conservative Americans are the true Patriots. All we're trying to do is save our great country from socialist / communist bastards who lie their way into office, pack the courts with activist wacko judges who radically instal their failed utopian, socialist policies.
The lazy takers who contribute nothing to society, but demand ever increasing govt. spending to feed the over bloated federal bureaucracy in a never ending race to insolvency. A manchurian candidate who once elected, begins an Anti American crusade to add to the federal debt by the insane amount of $1.5 Trillion a year. Liberal socialist anti americans are wholly responsible for over $110 Trillion in unfunded social promises that propel ignorant, useless slugs into office leaving the crushing burden for the next generation. The most truly despicable thing someone can do.
The only question for the liberal, socialist, Anti American ilk infesting our great nation is, are you simply too stupid to understand your utopian policies have zero % chance of success, but 100 % certainty of inflicting financial armageddon on our next generation.

We are now fighting a different kind of war. What was the costly weapons of the past are not the most efficent way to fight the wars of the future. Thank goodness for drones.
This is capitalism at work. Healthy debate is good. As usual, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. The benefits of fracking have the potential of creating huge tax revenues, union wage jobs and other opportunities that would benefit this country. I object to extremism on both sides, especially when it comes to showing bubbling well water that ignites, which is propaganda at its worst. Many of these wells had natural gas in them prior to any fracking and the environmental lobby knows it. Likewise, there are many questions the energy industry lobby must answer before we march blindly into this. Everybody needs to calm down and let things sort themselves out.

If there's a state law stating that guns obtained via a gun buyback program cannot be destroyed then why do you think you're above the law and may have them destroyed? The ends *do not* justify the means.
Note that I'm not saying the law necessarily makes sense. But there's a process for changing the law and you're expected to utilize it. You can't just reason "I don't like that law" and willfully ignore it. Just what kind of anarchy are you advocating?
Are guns sacred to these people, or what?
Shouldn't the owners of guns (the police, once they buy them) be able to do whatever they like with them? Including destroy them?
Isn't that the basic premise of private property, upon which our entire society is based?
Given that the fundamental purpose of a buyback is to permanently remove guns from circulation, reselling them is an obvious absurdity. It renders the whole project invalid. It doesn't matter if the gun is "illegal" or not. Every gun should be destroyed. There's no such thing as a keepsake when it can kill you. Honestly, when are you Yanks going to start using a little common sense?
If you want to eat vegetables grown in sewage sludge, that is "OK" by me, but, people should have a choice. Apparently,now, we can assume all vegetables are grown in sewage sludge, unless labeled certified organic. People should buy accordingly. We need to grow our own vegetables. Many people have gotten sick from what used to be safe vegetables. One would think, that by 2013, we would have developed a good way of disposing of human waste. As far as most meat is concerned, people have to assume the animals have been fed, not only antibiotics and hormones, but, bits of animal parts, as well. I don't know what I'm getting, when I eat out ( not very often), but, I don't buy that stuff. Grass fed is all I buy. I have a fish card from foodandwaterwatch.org, that I go by for fish.

Calm down, General -- we're not so much asking for defense cuts as cuts in the defense budget. Think weapons systems even the Pentagon doesn't want, not to mention thousand-dollar toilet seats. You know, corruption, waste, fraud and abuse -- the country's real entitlement problem.
You folks that scream out for defense cuts are complete hypocrites. Just FYI; the world is not getting safer. There are plenty of nations out there that would just love to see a nuclear weapon wipe us off the map. Before long, those countries WILL have the capabilities of using nuclear weapons. They aren't going to listen to those useless UN sanctions, and they will be able to use them against us. When that occurs, what will happen then? Folks like you will be pleading for a beef up in defense. So, I'd be careful what you ask for.

Do we have proof that any of these crops are grown in bio sludge or are we just taking Mario's word for it? I am sure he is an honest person. But some more information would be great. Thanks!

Is anyone surprised by this? I'm sure they backed the politics that turned my strong union state Mi. into a right to work. All right to work is the right to work for lower pay and no safety on the job. Everything they stand for is to turn America into a country of the Haves and Have Nots! Everyone needs to see the Bill Moyers story about Alec to know who and what they really are. Their the group that came up with the shoot first ask later. Nothing good comes out of ALEC unless your wealthy!
It's about time we cut the DOD budget. All around us our infrastructer is crumbling while we're rebuilding other countrys. I do not believe for one second that God appointed us rulers of the world. With our record of bombs, agent orange and now drones I'm not surprised so many disasters are hitting our country. We've become war mongers and so darn greedy in this country that we wouldn't bend over to help an old lady up unless there was someone there to see our good deed. The money we waste in defense is enough to create alot of jobs in this country. It's time to quit pacifying the DOD and take care of Americans for a change!
With a name like FreedomWorks, this organization should either support the freedom to bargain -- that is the freedom of workers and their employer to negotiate an agreement under which all workers pay dues and get certain benefits and wages. If a group calls itself FreedomWorks, it should either support the freedom to bargain or it should change its name.
Why does every discussion about the budget jump to cuts in medicare and social security, or cuts in police and fire? If you keep crying wolf, like this some people may continue to be fooled, but the majority will become weary of these same old straw man arguments. There is no way that the republicans want to touch Social Security, given their recent political losses. Anyone who looks at their paycheck knows that Social Security and Medicare are separate from income tax and does not figure into the budget anyway. They are administered completely separate from the congressional budget.
Why not talk about cutting something like... hmm... cutting corporate welfare or military spending? Something meaningful instead of another straw man? I could name dozens of things that could be put on the table without alienating the constituency. If the Democrats put something meaningful on the table, they will gain some leverage and not look like the party taking America into financial ruin.
Sir, why would selling LEGAL guns acquired through a buyback program to legitimate dealers be an EVIL move? It seems to me that this would be a most respectable way of funding these programs while still removing unwanted weapons. The only ILLEGAL guns most of these things draw are guns stolen simply to get the buy back money, or a wartime keepsake. Ask any of the buybacks how many machine guns or actual heavy weapons they have recovered, and I am betting those numbers will be very low. They do get a LOT of handguns that were legally acquired by a family member somewhere along the line, as well as the occasional very valuable antique. When they are required to destroy ALL seized weapons, that puts some keepsakes in the same category as a saturday night special.
These guns should be recycled into art, jewelry, bridges, infrastructure, metal water bottles, it's called reduce, reuse, recycle
Gun buy backs are a great way to get guns off the streets and these republicans, ALEC and the NRA always have their right wing evil all over everything that would make Americans safe.
It's not that perplexing that Freedomworks, a wholly-owned subsidiary of America's plutocracy, is going after unions. While business owners are free to form business associations where they can meet, concoct strategy and even set pricing strategies, apparently it is "just horrible" for workers to do essentially the same thing.
Freedomworks should change its name to Slaveworks.
