Watch your tongue, child. You might someday anger someone who, like Zimmerman, takes justice into his own hands regardless of what constitutes real justice. Get that chip off your shoulder before someone mistakes it for a target. And as a tenth and twelfth generation Yankee WASP, more of whose whose ancestors have invested sweat and blood in this country than you can count potential fathers, I am proud to be a communist by your criteria. I look forward to the day when this country turns against your kind of dreck and people like you end your meaningless lives of fellating Mammon slumped against a wall with dozens of holes in your carcasses, and are shoveled into a pit of lye, dissolved, and forgotten.

Amazing how blatant your words of right-wing rhetoric shows the most hateful of contempt for the average individual whether they are an American citizen or a foreigner.

    1. The US is the most religious of all developed nations and it is of a fundamentalist nature in the main which encourages rigid thought and
belief and discourages questioning and curiosity.

    2. It is the only developed nation where people both fear and hate their government.

    3. It is the only developed nation which retains to a large degree, the 18th century belief that poverty is self-inflicted.

    4. It is a fear-filled culture, perhaps because of the religion, which encourages aggression. Fear is always behind anger and rage.

    5. It is a paranoid culture to a much larger degree than probably anywhere else which encourages the obsession with guns which has made the US the most heavily armed and most violent country on earth. It is also paranoia and fear which has created a social subset called 'preppers' which you don't find in any other developed nation and which to outsiders is sadly, laughable. This same paranoia has brought Americans to believe that social welfare, justice for the citizens, which is enjoyed by the rest of the developed world and denied to Americans, will somehow lead to socialism which, in the US, means communism. The fact that the rest of the modern world has managed to introduce and run social welfare programs while remaining healthy
democracies is probably not something the average American knows.

    6. The society has been insular and arrogant for a long time, believing both in its exceptionalism and superiority and remaining ignorant and disinterested in the rest of the world. The internet is changing this but Americans have been fooled into believing for most of their history that they have it better than anyone else. They don't and they never did. And in this day and age they have it worst with the average American having a poorer quality of life than the average citizen in any other developed nation. If you cannot see the reality of your life then you cannot change it. If you believe that what you have is the best anyone has then you are less inclined to demand more. The average American still does not know or believe that they have the worst quality of life of any developed nation. This is particularly disgraceful given the wealth of the nation.

    7. It has the worst media in the entire world which encourages ignorance, fear and paranoia.

    8. Most Americans do not possess a passport and so have no knowledge of the rest of the world and therefore no perspective on how badly served they are.

I have one question for the corporate bastards and their whores on both sides of the political aisle. When you have achieved your ultimate aims of indenturing the middle class, especially young people burdened by a lifetime of student loan debt, destroying the social contract and safety net, and ultimately impoverishing the fools who keep voting against their own interests thanks to the game you're playing on them, who is going to have the income to partake of your products, services and scams? Hmmm? Thus, the system, thankfully, devours itself.

I can't wait to see if your comfortable, gated communities will insulate you from the dystopia you are creating. IMHO, I think not. Can't wait to see it either. I've got my popcorn all ready.

When you have managed to destabilize ahd destroy society to enrich yourselves, one wonders whether you will experience the shock and surprise of discovering that you too were parts of that society all along and that you are not insulated from its collapse.

This isn't about First Amendment rights. This is about shielding corporations from responsibility and protecting your profits at all costs.

I find your letter full of hyperbole, but that is usually the case with republicans. I take it that in your wonderful world, there is no global warming, all union members are overpaid thugs and trial lawyers should not exist. As for the environment, you are a blithering idiot if you perceive that big business has not caused the problems. The only salvation for the working man is unionism. Trial lawyers are the only stopgap between corporations and the little guy.
I suppose that you believe that great humanitarians like the Koch Brothers would be benevolent father figures if left to their own devices ? You're a fool that needs to have his head removed from his anal sphincter muscle. Kind of ironic that you utilize trial lawyers to strip any rights that may exist away from the little guy. Your ilk will not survive the dismantling of the ability to sue for tort damages. We now have the ability through social media to get the word out faster than you can buy tort reform. Good luck.

  • Justice Denied: 71 ALEC Bills in 2013 Make It Harder to Hold Corporations Accountable for Causing Injury or Death   5 years 32 weeks ago

Awww how sweet. You think that criticizing your efforts is somehow a violation of your 1st amendment rights. You truly are missing a chromosome aren't you?

And parasitic lawyers? oh yeah that was imaginative. I guess you believe legislators are better able to determine civil justice outcomes than juries who can't be bought off.

Corporations don't care about jobs; only profits. They'd replace all of us with robots or chinese slave labor if they could. No amount of PR BS from whores like your group will prove otherwise.

The problem today is our manufacturing sector is being offsourced to countries like China & our tax code rewards such behavior. We have a costly health care system that compounds our lack of competetiveness.More and more Americans wonder how we will ever be able to retire or buy a house.

Trial lawyers aren't to blame for that. But go ahead take away our ability to get redress through the courts (lord know we lost the ability to be heard by corporate-owned legislators long ago).

Maybe we'll need to start pursing "2nd amendment solutions"

It's not even nuclear power generating fuel until it undergoes a lot of tedious processing. And it needs a lot more processing to make it weapons grade.

    From your reference from scribd.com:

Israeli warplanes bombed a reactor project at the site in 1981. Later, U.N.inspectors documented and safeguarded the yellowcake, which had been stored in aging drums and containers since before the 1991 Gulf War. There was no evidence of any yellowcake dating from after 1991, the official said." [Emphasis added.]

In other words, it had been sitting there unused, and with no evidence of any plans to use it, all along.

Bush's claim was crap. BRITISH INTELLIGENCE got fooled and George W. Bush parroted what they said, just like any stupid wingnut on the Internet, because it helped him whip up support for the war he was spoiling for. Or maybe he thought quoting BRITISH INTELLIGENCE would cover his butt. Pretty thin coverage at best.

  • Wisconsin Bill Would Treat Organic Milk, Sharp Cheddar, Brown Eggs as "Junk Food"   5 years 32 weeks ago

I'm very happy that you are one of the few that put in while taking out. However, these are our (those of us not taking out) tax dollars being put in too, that's why we all vote together to decide. It's not that I want to tell you what to eat, but a lack of nutrition means you aren't thinking at your potential. I can tell you're very smart, and it's the people like you that I want to see benefit from this. The additives they use in crappy food are made from heavy metals and other toxins. They're actually addictive and the coal tar based dyes and flavorings cause clouded thinking. It's because they're lead based. Look up the ingredients for food dyes. They also include heavy metals and other elements to obtain the colors. Now look up the symptoms of ADHD and then the symptoms of lead poisoning. Please note what the long term affects of lead poisoning are - a lack of growth to the frontal lobe, the decision making portion of the brain. What does this mean? Take a look at the studies done on criminals in a california prison. All of the criminals that committed a violent, heinous crime had either damage or what was described as a deformity - "shrinkage" of the frontal lobe. This was not shrinkage, but rather a lack of growth. Bad food = Bad decisions.

  • The Supreme Court Has Severely Limited Workers’ Ability to Sue Employers for Discrimination   5 years 32 weeks ago

SCOTUS's decision reaffirms the 'chain of command' when determining discrimination, which in many ways is an issue of 'stand your ground' but is progressive, in fact. I agree with the court here, and this undermines the neo-liberal stance at the same time.

How do you know who is freely associating? Disclosure laws are a joke, easily gotten around. Corporations are often multinationals and/or have headquarters in the Caymans or some other haven.

Corporations may be owned by other corporations. They may be owned by people who are not Americans. They may be owned foreign nations.

Do you not mind if your politicians are owned by say... the government of Iran, China, or even worse Canadians? Right now, we don't get to know.

It's time to reign in the power of all artificial entities. They don't have inalienable rights. The rights were purchased from corrupt courts.

  • Half of Americans Still Believe In WMDs - They Saw Them on TV   5 years 32 weeks ago

The WMD everyone talks about is the yellowcake George W. Bush talked about in his STATE OF THE UNION message in 2003.

"The British government has learned," Bush had said in his State of the Union address in January, "that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

NOTE: We are speaking about uranium AND NO OTHER WMD. Yellowcake is the raw uranium material others call "uranium precursor." We are also speaking about BRITISH INTELLIGENCE on which Bush's words were based - read it again!

Now let's check the facts which, as in REALITY, fully contradict public opinion and media propaganda, as history is yet to be written:

    http://www.resourceinvestor.com/2008/07/06/cameco-scoops-550t-of-yellowcake-in-secret-deal

    http://www.scribd.com/doc/75439848/Iraq-WMD-s-Yellow-Cake-Uranium

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/07/07/iraq.uranium/index.html

Now the reader knows he's been lied to - and it was not George W. Bush who was lying.

Messrs. Nichols and McChesney- Please check out my website AdvanceTheDialog.com. I have tried to codify basic constructs of logic and common sense for the public to use as tools to demand more from the media. The public can 'Call Them Out' when the media breaks the Rules, and vote on 'Cover The Topic', 'Ask The Question', or enter their own. It is a new site and I am building support still. I would love your participation & feedback! I am serious about this project. Thank you.

  • Group Launches "Taxpayer Empowerment Agenda" to Reclaim Public Control over Public Assets and Destructive Outsourcing   5 years 32 weeks ago

This is the effect of privatization of most public controlled assets. The cost of the services will skyrocket and wages of employees will decrease. In some cases there will be downsizing of employees and the jobs will be sub-contracted. This is all business and income for capitalists.

  • Justice Denied: 71 ALEC Bills in 2013 Make It Harder to Hold Corporations Accountable for Causing Injury or Death   5 years 32 weeks ago

Command-and-control communists, marginally less radical nanny staters, and the plaintiffs' lawyers who tactically fund their respective propaganda operations would, presumably, prefer to have state lawmakers influenced only by the Natural Resources Defense Council, SEIU, AFSCME, AAJ and other outfits that support continued expansion of government and civil liability.

Well, tough luck, comrades. Because the First Amendment empowers Americans all along the political spectrum to freely associate and petition their government for redress of grievances. And one of the biggest grievances of those of us who prefer free markets and personal responsibility to crony capitalism and an all-powerful regulatory state is the extortionate transfer of wealth from productive businesses to parasitic personal injury lawyers and law firms.

So we're going to use any constitutional means necessary to pursue civil justice reforms at state and federal levels, just as the far left relentlessly pursues its anti-growth, anti-jobs and anti-U.S. competitiveness agenda. Whine and cry all you want, folks, and pretend that what we tort reformers do is somehow different than what the environmental radicals, thieving union bosses, and lying trial lawyers do every day. But you won’t persuade anyone who isn’t already a fellow traveler to join your cause, no matter how sinister you try to make the exercise of First Amendment rights sound.

  • Keystone Academy: Where Legislators Learn the Etiquette of Serving Special Interests   5 years 32 weeks ago

I don't understand why, in the middle of this article, you inserted the following paragraph:

    - TransCanada, which is a member of ALEC, sponsored ALEC's Spring Task Force Summit in Oklahoma City in May 2013, alongside other corporations with tar sands interests including BP, Devon Energy and Koch Industries. TransCanada's Vice President Corey Goulet presented to legislators at the conference during a session called "Embracing American Energy Opportunities." -

This paragraph is confusing because it has nothing to do with the trip in Oct. 2012. The last sentence is poorly written, as you wrote "...Goulet presented to legislators...". Presented what? "Presented" is a verb with no subject here. This is not proper English.

Even worse, is the error in the following paragraph:

    - Dimon stayed in touch with Adams' office over the proceeding months, providing his staff with further materials about Keystone XL, including a set of talking points stamped with the TransCanada logo.-

"Proceeding" is glaringly incorrect. The word you wanted was "preceding", except that you really were referring to the months after, which is "succeeding". "Ensuing", "subsequent" or "following", would also have been good choices.

You really should use a dictionary and a grammar book before you submit your articles. Is there a proofreader at PRWatch? If not, I would consider the job.
