New York to become picturesque New Venice
This morning on one of the Good Morning type national television shows (I already forget which, but they all say essentially the same thing anyway), we were told that global warming would likely not have the effect of sudden, drastic coastline changes. We were told it was more likely to happen gradually, and that New York might become something like Venice.
For all I know, this could be correct. But I also can't help but know, that they (VNR producers) know that we tend to notice and evaluate drastic and sudden changes much differently than slow, gradual ones, which do not have the same shock and awe effect on us.
