Wisconsin's democratic tradition faces the greatest threat it has ever known. Gov. Walker, operating at the direction of Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, is using the financial crisis caused by Wall Street speculators as an excuse to impose devastating cuts to public services. . . .and we've had enough! Will you rise to the call?

The Wisconsin Wave is a project of the Liberty Tree Foundation and the Center for Media and Democracy.

Raffle prizes include an iPad and other items (must be present to win) plus $3.00 craft beer special!

As for the music:

El Valiente lurk and charge through spaces as broad and bleak as the Grand Canyon. The group's guitar, glockenspiel, bass, and drums prove boldest when drifting off into a skeletal void between slowcore, spaghetti western, and free jazz. They perform instrumentals surging with bursts of noise and wondrously drifting melodies.

As the enduring creative force behind Ivory Library, Jeff Jagielo’s new project, Squarewave, is just as adventurours. These days, Jagielo and his mates go for atmospheric production filled out with thick washes of guitar, forlorn (although hardly depressing) vocals and keyboards that generally provide added colors rather than melody.

The United Sons of Toil are a collective deeply rooted in the grinding noise and math rock that bubbled up from the Midwest during the mid '90s.

Superstar Fantastico plays rock music with a strong dance beat.
