British Prime Minister Tony Blair is under pressure following the apparent suicide of Iraq weapons expert David Kelly [6]. An intensely private individual, Kelly came under public scrutiny and was grilled by the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament [7] to see if he might be the whistleblower alleged to have told BBC journalist Andrew Gilligan [8] that Blair's government had "sexed up" its September dossier on Iraqi weapons. A judicial inquiry [6] into Kelly's death is expected.
