
As corporate lobbyists and state legislators from across the country meet in Salt Lake City for the 39th annual meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council [7] (ALEC), a group of open government advocates have released a report called "ALEC in Florida" [8] that sheds further light on ALEC's "unprecedented influence over Florida."
The report [8] was released by Progress Florida, Florida Watch Action, People for the American Way, Common Cause and the Center for Media and Democracy's ALEC Exposed [7]. The new report details the influence the corporate front group has over Florida's policy makers.
