Family planning approaches have been included in Catholic hospital plans for a long time. It's only when the bishops and some pastors recognized the need to distract their people from the clergy abuse scandals and the financial costs involved in settlements that they started overtly attacking women though their abusive messages about family planning and contraception. And now they have a VP candidate who can take on the task.
